St James School welcomed Bishop Joseph Nguyen and Mr. Christopher Yuen, our Superintendent of School to St James school on Wednesday, October 13. Bishop Joseph began by celebrating Mass with Father Peter and the grade 6 and 7 students at St James church, while K – grade 5 attended via Zoom. After Mass, Bishop Joseph and Mr Yuen visited each classroom. The students had the opportunity to ask Bishop questions as well as showcase their academic talents.

Although it was a short week for students, it was a FULL week for staff. All staff

What a week we have had! Staff engaged in an excellent day of professional development focusing on primary literacy and wellness resources. We then spent two days focusing on Truth and Reconciliation where students explored what it means to take responsibility for our actions, seek forgiveness, and then do our part to make it right. And then after taking a day off to honour the new national day of Truth and Reconciliation within our families, staff and students ended the week with a Terry Fox Run at Polson Park. The weather was spectacular as the runners, walkers, and mossiers made their way around the Polson Oval. Thank you to all our volunteers who made this event a success.
